Streets of life

Streets of life
.
As I walk these streets of life
I see things with mind than my eyes
Dry bones, dumb skulls
Blind eyes, venom tongues
Struggling to live, trampled the weak
So are the vague picture on the streets
.
Mouth yawning after starving for weeks
Eyes playing blind to see
As the voice cracks louder into the air
Breaking sad tones to the ears
Needy were stabbed, served to pleased their need
Feeding the strong with the satisfaction of the feast
.
Men scared to be served
Energy start to weaken and vanish
Strength begins to wrestle with fear
Bodies retiring to the silence space
‘let’s leave to live before we die’
Echo the walls of the streets

"POWER OF REJECTION"

ALWAYS TRY to be open to constructive criticism, but don’t personalize rejection. Don’t allow your opinion of yourself to be coloured by the opinion of those who fail to see your best qualities and potential. Successful people all have one thing in common ; they had to overcome REJECTION.

THE TREE AND THE MISTLETOE(A Duet)

SHE: I was as innocent as the rising sun
Whence you came to me with a basket of promises
To give me a world I wouldn’t imagine
Oh man, have you forgotten so soon

HE: What? That to your back, a spinal cord I will be
That to your roof, a pillar I will be
Oh, my lips slip to any words they find coming
For I am a blue cover of a pen with a black ink
White saliva outside I spitted, knowing I needed blood

SHE: You promised me both your world and words
Don’t knit ironies for me with metaphorical hyperbole
Give me you, your pocket, and even your grave
Like I feed you with my legs spread abroad

HE: You exhumed laughter from me, oh you Lass
Alas, the original I have buried while you danced to the fake
What love do palm birds have for corn plant to neighbour it
If not to drain and leave
Your farm I am done with – off to a better farmland

SHE: Lo, your words perfume my heart with disgust
How sweet and intelligent you sound vomiting balderdash
To nowhere will I let you go; I’m not done
Until then you’ll realize how shrinked you are

HE: Even my stay with you will compress you more
While goodnews breath new life into me more
This I will do till you remain a crowd of voiceless cry
With no captain to help your boat from sinking

SHE: Let’s sail in this leaking yatch of mistletoe
If perhaps you’ll survive my feminine rage
Like a vampire will I suck your entire life
And return you to the coven of miserable life

HE: Perhaps I should tell you a devil I am
Sent from the pit of hell to drain your glory
Death is my father whom I never fear
I accept this shrink of yours you can never bear

UNTITLED

It gladdens me that at me you frowns,
Because the hatred you have for me I have underscored
On my papyrus it permeates like the spread of kerosene aground;
For me I know always your heart I ache.

Have you ever tagged me hapless,
So unfortunate that the imprint of your love I do not have?
Be fearless like the Eagle and admit that to you a weed I am
Whom, daily you always try to execute from the farmland of your thought.

But, I will advise you should not mete yourself out,
Alas! The pain you can hardly bear;
Perhaps you should deter your own thought too,
And halt being a wanderer under the servitude of hatred.

Fear not Dearie, for this feeling is never untoward,
Simply a noble touch to our hearts;
Love me not with pecuniary conditions,
With my Poetic Pen under dexterity I shall spoil you with.

Life minus you, equals to hell.

Days

Days

Yesterday, it’s the best ant for elephant the monkeys had
Yesterday, it’s one of the hunger wired day the farmer had
Yesterday, it’s one of the tit for tat days the lunatic experienced
Like every other day, the tree that loses its treasure did

Today, it’s an hoard_day for the monkeys searching for bananas
Today, it’s a rest day for that farmer keeping watch u over bananas
Today, it’s an abundant day for that lunatic for it souls receive peace from whips
Like every other day, that tree that never caresses its family lost souls

Perhaps today was better the tree knows not
Perhaps yesterday treated it better, but no idea
Probably tomorrow may be better ;that’s if it comes
Probably there would be no more tomorrow, nothing ever pays.

My host

Forfeited, almost ruined
Too intelligent to take a tangible action,
But takes whatever reaction thrown.

Blown away by flimsy excuses,
Excited with cheap miserable junks,
With no respect for life nor lives.

The overrated giant of a dummy,
Lacking every essentials of life,
Is a home that hosts you and me.

The home that rewards terrorists with forgiveness,
And gives incentives to murderers,
Then punishes its inhabitants for guiding their lives jealously

WHAT A HOST!!

Customers really right in my country?

GTBank is one of the biggest bank in Nigeria due to the population of their customers. Its ‘zero account’ attracts a lot of students, and this help to add to their space. Businessmen and women, artisan and many other people can’t be left behind as well. Customers care is very vital in such an organisation which customers truly cherish a lot.
Around 1p.m today, Gtbank Leadster branch, along Rind-Road, Ibadan was closed down due to some development which someone said ‘it’s not official, why would they close down?’ Many customers were very angry and ranting about the development.
A woman was very conspicuous amidst it, she’s very pissed. She said ‘I need a draft to bail someone out today in the police station. This is wickedness!.’ The voice of the woman grew high as she lamented and many people were murmuring too.
A man who supposed to be the manager came out and threaten to arrest anybody who try to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the bank. This even vexed the woman more, she faced him and asked ‘is this how you treat your customers? You shouldn’t have sent us out of the bank like that? And why would you even close by 12:40pm when you told us you are closing by 1 o’clock?’
The man replied ‘madam, I can order the bank to be closed at anytime’
‘You should not be talking to us anyhow’ the woman was disappointed ‘My money is part of your salary!’
The man returned ‘excuse me ma, your money is not going directly into my account. Beside, what’s your worth?’ The words came as a shock to everyone, a bank staff saying that to their customer. Where is the customer care? The manner of approach? No regards for customers anymore. Many people reacted but the police came to the scene and everyone left one by one.
It is one of the ridiculous thing that happens in Nigeria, even GTBank Customers are treated like trash and animals, so bad!

Scared Of Being A Star

Staring at the stars one night
They were smiling back at me
Dream of being a star drizzle down on me
I want to sparkles so bright
That the world would see
But living so high, all in the dark
Illuminating in the dark, burning inside
Sold soul, empty body shining
Is what I’m scared of
Being a star is so sweet
What about the gloom is brings?
